Installing a web application by hand usually means downloading files, uploading them via FTP, creating a database and user, editing configuration files and running a setup wizard. Our one-click installer does all of that for you.

Pick an app in the control panel, choose the domain or subfolder it should live in and enter a few basics such as the site name and your admin email. The installer creates the database, copies the files and completes the configuration. A moment later you can log in and start building.

Which plans include the one-click app installer?
The app installer is included in all Linux hosting plans: Small, Business and Unlimited. For WordPress we offer dedicated WordPress hosting with extra tools such as staging and the WordPress Manager.
How many apps can I install?
You can install apps on as many websites as your plan allows – up to 10 on Small, 50 on Business and 1000 on Unlimited. Each app typically uses one website and one database.
Are apps updated automatically?
Automatic core updates are available for supported apps, so important security fixes are applied without you having to remember. Extensions, themes and plugins should still be checked and updated regularly.
Can I install an app in a subfolder?
Yes. You can install an app on a main domain, a subdomain or in a subfolder, for example to run a forum or shop alongside your main website.
Do I need technical knowledge to use the installer?
No. You only choose the app and enter a few details like the site name and admin email address. The installer takes care of the database, files and configuration.
Can I still access the files and database of my app?
Yes. You keep full access via the file manager, FTP, SSH and phpMyAdmin, so you or your developer can customise the app as you like.
Will you move an existing app to CheapTopHost?
Yes. Free migrations are included, so we can move your existing website or application to your new hosting plan.
